HVLA 2.0 Seminar

Art & Science of HVLA Manipulation

Témoignages

"This workshop on the upper quadrant is a great synthesis of manipulations that I wanted to revisit and relearn. Gérald, with his expert hands, is pedagogically skilled enough to help us improve and correct our techniques. A very good 'new version' condensed course in structural techniques, simple, precise, and effective. It's refreshing and reassuring."

Catherine VALLEE D.O.

"A high-quality seminar in a friendly atmosphere with plenty of practice and concrete scientific theory, which rightly filters what is taught in osteopathy—this is refreshing. Gérald is a very pedagogical and patient teacher, passionate and a clinical osteopath, exactly what we need for our daily practice. I highly recommend this seminar, as well as the one on the upper quadrant. They have improved my technique. Thanks again to him."

Bertrand NOTTE D.O.

"Great training with simple, effective structural techniques for the clinic, and most importantly, refreshed! It feels so good. The techniques are painless and easy to execute. Thank you to Gérald, who is a high-quality instructor, attentive and responsive."

Joseph TAMBOURGI D.O.

✅ SAFE, EFFECTIVE & COMFORTABLE MANIPULATIONS

There are several ways to manipulate the spine, pelvis, and peripheral limbs. But don’t do to others what you wouldn’t want done to you. If the manipulation is uncomfortable or unpleasant to undergo, the therapeutic effects will not be the same at all. The manipulations you will learn are very comfortable for the patient. Moreover, they are highly effective and very safe.

✅ 70% PRACTICE - 30% THEORY

The teaching of manipulations primarily requires practice. The techniques are taught in a way that allows you to integrate them into your clinic the very next day. The theoretical part, presented in a didactic format, is there to update the applications of the techniques.

✅ EVERY REGION OF THE BODY

In the first seminar, you will learn how to safely and effectively manipulate the following areas:

C0-C1 (occiput-atlas), C1-C2 (atlas-axis), C2-C7 (mid and lower cervical), C7-T3 (cervico-thoracic junction), T1-T3 (upper thoracic), T4-T10 (thoracic), K1-K3 (upper ribs), K4-K10 (typical ribs), Sternoclavicular, Acromioclavicular, Glenohumeral, Humeroulnar, Humeroradial, Distal radioulnar, Capitate bone, Lunate bone, Scaphoid bone, Trapeziometacarpal, 1st Metacarpophalangeal, and Interphalangeal joints.

Special focus will be placed on difficult-to-manipulate areas (junctions, upper thoracic, upper ribs, etc.).

In the second seminar, you will learn to safely and effectively manipulate the following areas:

T10-L1 (thoracolumbar junction), L1-L4 (lumbar), L5-S1 (lumbosacral junction), Sacroiliac joints, Pubis, Hip joints, Femoral-tibial joint, Superior tibiofibular joint, Inferior tibiofibular joint, Tibio-talar joint, Talocalcaneal joint, Navicular bone, Cuboid bone, Cuneiform bones, 1st Metatarsophalangeal joint, and Interphalangeal joints.

Special focus will be placed on difficult-to-manipulate areas (junctions, sacroiliac joints, foot joints, etc.).

✅ EVIDENCE-BASED

We integrate a robust and solid Evidence-Based model. This will give you greater confidence in what you do and why you do it. The goal is to achieve better diagnoses and treatment plans. The knowledge and scientific literature references you will gain will help you better justify your treatments and improve communication with other medical and paramedical professionals.

There are still many myths about manipulations taught in schools today. In this seminar, you will learn about:

✅The biomechanical, spinal, and supraspinal effects that best explain the effects of manipulations.

✅Why it is important to put the fear of cervical manipulations into perspective.

✅The actual effects of spinal manipulations on the viscera.

✅Cavitation: its clinical reality, effects, and whether it is necessary.

✅Integration of new concepts around spinal biomechanics and the treatment of spinal pain.

✅Reconceptualization of Osteopathic and Chiropractic Theories.

✅How to have a reliable, quick, and reproducible clinical examination.

✅How to explain to patients what you are doing.
